Ryan Thorson
Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist, CEO
Dr. Thorson completed two Bachelor of Science degrees at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2003 (Psychology and Management Information Systems). He completed his Master of Arts in Psychology in 2007 and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from Louisiana State University. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship from The University of Nebraska Medical Center at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. He later served as a faculty member training Masters and Doctoral Students as well as Post-Doctoral Fellows in a variety of fields (Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, and others). Dr. Thorson also served as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Nebraska – Omaha.
Dr. Thorson has additional experience in Residential Treatment, state hospitals, as well as integrated care with Pediatricians. He has consulted in great deal with developmental disabilities and group homes for behavioral problems.
Dr. Thorson returned to Minnesota in 2015 to take over as the Director of Behavioral Health for Independent Management Services. He has consulted with IMS since 1995. In 2019, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer.
