Disability Services

Independent Management Services provides compassionate, personalized support through Individualized Home Supports (IHS), Semi-Independent Living Services (SILS), and a 245-D licensed group home. Our goal is to empower each individual to build essential life skills, increase independence, and thrive in a safe, structured, and supportive environment—whether through community-based services or 24-hour residential care.

Individualized Home Supports (IHS) offers one-on-one support in the home or community, helping individuals develop life skills and confidence. Services include:

  • Meal preparation and planning
  • Daily living skills
  • Medication reminders
  • Budgeting and financial skills
  • Health and wellness guidance
  • Community participation

Semi Independent Living Services offers ongoing support and skill development for individuals ready for more independence with limited supervision. Services include:

  • Goal-setting and training
  • Help with appointments and transportation
  • Household management
  • Social integration and advocacy
  • Personal safety and support

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a documented developmental disability or related condition
  • Demonstrate independent functioning limitations without SILS

Is it possible to receive SILS while also having waiver services?

Yes, you can still receive SILS if you have waiver services, but it depends on your situation. SILS is not usually funded through waiver programs like CADI, BI, or DD waivers. Instead, it’s typically funded through county services like Rule 185 case management or through county social services directly. If you’re on a waiver, your case manager can help figure out whether SILS is the right fit or if a similar service can be provided through your waiver.

To be eligible for IHS or our group home you must receive services through one of the following waivers: Brain Injury (BI), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Developmental Disabilities (DD).

IHS offers three different service options:

  • IHS without training
    • IHS without training is a service option that provides support. The person must receive support in at least one of the community living service categories. This service option is available to adults and children.
  • IHS with training
    • IHS with training is a service option that provides support and training. The person must receive training in at least one of the community living service categories. They also may receive support in any of the community living service categories. This service option is available to adults only.
  • IHS with family training
    • IHS with family training is a service option that provides support and training to the person and/or their family. The person and/or their family must receive training in at least one of the community living service categories. The training increases their capabilities to care for and maintain the person’s ability to live in the home. The person and/or their family also may receive support in any of the community living service categories. This service option is available to children and adults living in their family’s home.
